Rationale

In 1917 Marcel Duchamp didn't quite get his "fountain" sculpture/readymade into an exhibition despite sitting on the selection panel. There's a full account here of the incident.

The toilets in these photogrpahs seem to be in the institution, but not of it, much like Duchamp's*. I simply take photographs of toilets in Art Galleries and Museums around the world and post them here.

*Though, of course, his didn't make the institution until he had copies made, but that's another story.
